Yes... We have signed the contract on the 28th April...... But to find there a few changes that will be made.... Wrong Promotion pack... didn't include the cesarstone bench tops... grrrrr so that will be changed. Also we have found out we loose our butlers pantry due to the slope of our land, we now have a split level Metricon Home...... Well only the garage, with one step up on to a platform into the house and then three more steps up. We are gutted we are loosing that entrance into the pantry, would have been so convenient. Although means we have the only Metricon Home (well that's what they tell us) that will have this design, Also what came with this was $8k up in the cost. Not happy!!!
Due the Slope of our land we were also told that we need to have retaining walls that are engineered.Ok we are very new to this and had no idea that the cost of these would be so so so much!!!!! So we have 1.2m high on the fill side and on the cut 1.5m high, thus making the cost stupidly expensive!!!! around $20k.....
We have have chosen to have the work completed in natural granite bush rock although we will loose about 1m either side of the boundary. Also Metricon have told us we need to lodge a relaxation to the council for the 1.2m wall.
